Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening (Bleaching) in Gainesville, VA

We’re running a teeth whitening special!

We offer three options:

In-Office Teeth Whitening

If you want to see results right away, or simply prefer to have whitening done in a professional setting, in-office whitening is a great choice. The procedure typically takes about 45 minutes.

The process is simple. Our experienced dental assistant covers your gums and lips to protect them, then applies the whitening gel to your teeth. A special light is directed at your teeth for about 15 minutes to speed up the whitening. The gel is then reapplied and the process repeated. After a third and final 15-minute round, you’re all set.

In-office whitening can lighten your teeth by five to ten shades, so you’ll leave with a brighter, whiter smile.

Take-Home Kits from Your Dentist

Take-home kits from your dentist are a great alternative to over-the-counter whitening kits. They work much like drugstore kits, but they contain stronger whitening agents that produce faster and, when used as directed, more dramatic results. We take an impression of your teeth to create custom trays for you to use at home.

The main advantage of a take-home kit is convenience, along with the reassurance that it’s approved by your dentist. You’ll take the kit home after a routine exam or cleaning, along with instructions on how to use it properly. We may schedule a follow-up visit to make sure you’re happy with the results.

Philips Zoom QuickPro

Philips Zoom QuickPro is an exciting option designed to be as convenient and affordable as over-the-counter products. Your hygienist can apply it in just 5 minutes, usually at the end of your routine cleaning.

This system can whiten teeth by up to 4 shades, and a study by Philips Zoom found that patients experienced almost no sensitivity.

During the 5-minute application, your hygienist isolates the tooth surfaces, applies the hydrogen peroxide whitening varnish, and then seals it with a patented sealant. You’re free to leave the office, and after 30 minutes you can rinse or brush off the sealant and varnish.
